The Rogers

On Thursday was our first warm day in a long time and it was only warm until 3:00 and then the wind made it chilly enough to stay indoors. However Tavie and I took advantage and at 9:00 set off for a walk, heading to a local store, and then to the park and finally we went home to play with the chickens, later we even ventured into our little plastic pool (of course I had to get in with Tavie because she didn't want to go in alone.) But here are some photos of our fun filled day, Tavie pretty much was giggling the whole day it was very fun!

Well our summer started out very slow (still snowing in May.) I think however, it's finally here. Last week was not as hot as we would like but its been warm enough to spend the whole day outside. Tavie is absolutely loving being able to be outside all day with her chicks.
Yesterday was so Tavie was doing the funniest thing. It was sprinkling off and on but it was still warm enough to be outside and Tavie being so cute and loving towards all creatures decided since she was not using the water in her pool she would share it with her chicks. She got one of her little plastic shovels and decided to scoop up the water and then bring it to the chicks. Well we had two of them out wondering around and one decided it would follow Tavie back and forth as she carried the water. After ten minutes the chick was still following her back and forth from the pool to the cages, pecking at the falling droplets of water, and Tavie yelling at it to " Come on, chickie!" It was adorable!
